Why such an unique name?
'De' is commonly taken to mean 'The' in our everyday usage of the language.
Hence, De Coder's Cafe can also be taken to mean The Coder's Cafe.
However, when the two words 'De' and 'Coder's' are combined, it forms the word 'Decoder's'.
This is where the beauty of the cafe's name lies: Code and Decode.
It signifies a continual process of coding and decoding by the coders and decoders.
Sounds abstract? Oh well ..
With such a unique name, comes the theme for the board game cafe – Mystery and Codes.

Who are in the team?
We are a young and dynamic team comprising mostly tertiary students from various polytechnics and educational institutions.
The owners of De Coder's Cafe are brothers by blood and partners by business.
One has been in the teaching service since his graduation from NTU in 1997 with an interim working experience as a substance-abuse counsellor under a statutory board.
The other is an Honours graduate in Computer Science from NUS.
